MARNIE NItschke

APD | AN

Marnie has been an Accredited Practising Dietitian for 20 years - most of that time spent in the gastrointestinal nutrition space. She is passionate about translating evidence based nutrition science into real food terms for her clients, and is known for her warm, supportive and gentle approach.  Marnie is a mum of two who loves all aspects of food and cooking - she literally eats, sleeps and breathes nutrition.

Since 2006, Marnie has been specialising in gastrointestinal nutrition, including Irritable Bowel Syndrome, coeliac disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (crohns and colitis) and food intolerance.  Marnie is highly experienced in using the Low FODMAP Diet to help clients manage their IBS symptoms.  She is recognised as an expert in the Low FODMAP diet – having presented training webinars for colleagues and having completed the Monash University Low FODMAP Diet certification in 2018.

Marnie also has a special interest in non-FODMAP food intolerances, and recognises that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to dietary modification.  Marnie regularly works with clients to investigate food chemical intolerances using the RPAH elimination diet approach.

Marnie is a current professional member of Coeliac Australia and has worked with the organisation in the past to present workshops and seminars on the practical aspects of living gluten free.  Due to her close personal experience with coeliac disease, Marnie is able to provide intensive support for those starting a gluten free diet – including help with label reading, shopping, cooking and eating out on a gluten free diet.

Marnie’s passion is helping people understand and take charge of their unique health challenges by eating well and rediscovering the joy of food.
